After an unexpected breaking of the waters at 9:30pm on the 4th of February 2010. Sarah went into labour. By 5:00am we were in the Labour ward, at roughly 5:30am Sarah was in the bath. At 6:10am a stranger inside Sarah's tummy popped his head out and was ready. Help was called and the procedure began. Mummy was very relaxed as if doing a suduko puzzle. The shift leader also was very calm and helpful and encouraged sarah into pushing so the babys shoulders could be released. The shift leader noticed that the babys chord was caught around the throat. Immediately a red button was pressed on the wall. The big shift leader shouted "stand up now" myself a student the shift leader and another mid wife helped sarah to her feet. Sarah managed to step out of the bath and onto the bed. Roughly 12 women ran into the room. The baby had the chord wrapped around his neck torso leg and arms. What happend next was a blur and these amazing women managed to untangle the little baby realeasing the shoulders and torso. This tiny baby shouted at the top of his voice with fury as he lay there down whilst being checked over. The baby was alive and kicking and mum looked ready for a sudoko puzzle. These woman are amazing I will never forget what happend. Leon had arrived into the world at roughly 6:15am 5th February 2010 weighing in at a wopping 8lbs 50z all thanks to the wonderful mum whos reactions were like lightning.
